Dear Rabbi Lamm, Your sermons of late have been especially interesting and significant. Last one – for instance. A free choice, and knowledgeable choice, must be made now. You’re right, no matter what the choice is, at least let us have made it consciously, not lulled by history, “it can’t happen here,” complacency. I guess I asked you about the enclosed before this. But this has it printed clearly – Quote Digest N.Y. is compiled & mailed by air after closing on Friday, worked on by them on Fri. & Sat. – Is it O.K. to subscribe? Rabbi Lamm שליט"א, I enjoyed your שיעור very much in memory of Rabbi Belkin זצ"ל. You spoke of the custom of drinking wine for the third meal on שבת. I enclose a copy from the standard Sephardic prayerbook which includes the סדר for wine as a prerequisite for fulfilling the סעודה of the third meal. Generally, the oriental Sephardim follow this custom. Thank you for the שיעור.
