Celebration Dinner in Tribute to R. Norman Lamm (2001)

In celebrating a major milestone in the life of one of the nation’s most admired and revered Jewish leaders, the Board of Trustees of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and the Yeshiva University High Schools Steering Committee cordially invite you to a dinner in tribute to Rabbi Norman Lamm, in honor of his 25th anniversary as Rosh HaYeshiva and President of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and President of Yeshiva University. Greetings from Gov. Pataki to Rabbis at OU Award Dinner (1998)

Dear Friends: It is my pleasure to extend warm greetings to all gathered at the National Rabbinic Centennial Medallion Award Dinner of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. For a century, the Orthodox Union has earned praise for its dedication to the Jewish community and for its outreach efforts. As the umbrella organization and national spokesman for more than a thousand Orthodox synagogues, it has helped to improve the lives of countless individuals across the nation and across the globe. It has rightfully gained international recognition for its compassion and commitment to those in need. I commend the Orthodox Union and all of its members for their long history of service and benevolence. I proudly salute your esteemed honorees, among whom are some of the most prominent rabbis of our generation, and congratulate them on receiving your Centennial Medallion. They are all distinguished individuals who have dedicated their time and efforts to strengthening the American–Israeli relationship. These outstanding members of our community truly merit the tribute you pay them.
