Dear Moe: This is to remind you of our telephone conversation last night, in which I recommended that Paul Baris be appointed as Chairman of the Publications Commission. Paul's addresses and phone numbers are as follows: 262 Central Park West, TR 7-7093; 26 Broadway, WH 3-2390. At the same time, let me thank you for offering to contact Nonnie, who is studying at Ja University. Some of our members, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper, are with Charlotte. The fact that you, as busy as you are with important things, take time out to establish this personal contact means a great deal not only to the young man, his parents and me, but also will no doubt have a profound influence upon him, especially when such hospitality and concern are shown.I hope to see you this Monday evening, p.g., for dinner.Sincerely,Rabbi Norman Lamm

Dear Moe, Two things: First, I want to let you know how much I admired the capable and efficient manner in which you disposed of the tributes to the eighteen "Amudim" at the Torah Umesorah Banquet Sunday night. It could not have been done in a quicker or more charming manner, and the total effect was most impressive and encouraging. "Ye’yashar koach." Second, I have been trying to reach you for two weeks to discuss with you the matter of Paul Baris and the Publications Commission. Please let me know what is new on this score. Dear Mr. Gross: I want to tell you how deeply impressed I was with the tributes paid to you at the Union dinner on Sunday night, and with the wonderful response you made. I suppose so many others have told you that that I need not repeat it, but I would like to say that your daughter’s words were the most moving and touching that I have ever heard in such a context.
