Dear Rabbi Lamm: Shalom u’vracha! If you recall, my wife and I met you at the King David Hotel. We discussed my Yeshiva, its prospects in its entire spectrum and your keen interest and understanding of our needs. In accordance with your instructions, we went to Feldheim’s to get 12 books of yours (Hedge of Roses). However, for some reason or other, he did not give us the books. Would it be possible for you to send us about 50 books for the needs of our boys’ and girls’ school; for the kallah’s who attend our classes who are in dire need of your book. (By the way, the girls’ school is separate from the boys’ school.) We would appreciate this very much as we know your books would be of great value to our students. We are now in the process of opening “A Student House” for men, offering them food and lodging, talking to them on condition that they pray in the morning and learn one hour about Judaism. We need $20,000 for this emergency. The life we save may be your neighbor or a member of your congregation. One thousand dollars will guarantee one boy and perhaps many more. The boy will write thanking the person who donated the thousand dollars towards saving his spiritual soul. He will be given the honor as a “Knight of King David” as our school is located at the Tomb of King David, the future Messianic redeemer of the Jewish nation. Please, Dr. Lamm, don’t let our Jewish youth down. We must save every Jewish neshama. Kindly speak to your congregation concerning this emergency. May the Almighty give us strength to recapture and revitalize our Jewish youth who are searching their way back to God. Bevirchat kol tuv ve’chag sameach. Letter from Mrs. Fineman about "A Hedge of Roses" Distribution to Taharat Hamishpacha Group (1968)

Dear Rabbi Lamm, Our Taharath Hamishpocho group is endeavoring to get new and future brides interested in going to mikveh. Therefore, we are sponsoring a Bridal Tea where we hope to introduce these girls to the precepts of Taharath Hamishpocho. We are planning on giving them, as a gift from our organization, a copy of A Hedge of Roses in the hope that it, along with our prepared lecture, will inspire their interest. In as much as we are furnishing this book at our own expense we were hoping that you could give us a special discount price. I’ve been authorized to spend $75.00 and would appreciate your giving this your immediate attention and sending us as many books as this amount will cover, as soon as possible, as our tea is scheduled for the end of June.
