Dear Rabbi Lamm: Because of your past friendship with my father, Samuel K. Mirsky זצ"ל and your interest in and support of Sura, I am pleased to send you the enclosed. This re-print is among the last writings which my father completed before his passing, and deals with the topic which you undoubtedly know was very dear to him, and which he developed, his master-work, sheeltot. I trust that you will find this monograph of value, for its contents and also as a memento, and that your interest in my late father's work will continue unabated. I am sure that you will also be interested to know that we are planning to continue the various projects which my father envisioned under Sura and we will keep you informed of progress.
