Also, we have had a English-French translator review the text of your work. לכבוד הרה"ג מוהר' נחום לאם שליט"א וכל טוב אחדשה"ט. אני שמח לשלוח לך בדרוש זה התרגום השלם של סוגה בשושנים, עוד לפני יד הגהות, כמו שקבלתי את הדפים האחרונים, היות והמתרגמת עזבה בינתיים שט"ב לקבל על עצמה. היהלום בית ספר בפרוורי פאריש נמשך התרגום עד עתה. לפי מה שקראתי בו ע"י דפדוף נראה לי התרגום מצויין ומאוד נהניתי מקראתי. מכל מקום אנסה עכשיו לעבור בעיון על כל הספר. אם כתב יסכים לתרגום זה אני מוכן להעביר את הקסט אולי למוסד מיוחד כדי להדפיס אותו על כתב להתנות על התנאים שירצה

לכבוד הרב מ. ש. הלוי ורשבסקי שליט"א, אחדשה"ת כמשפט. את מכתבו מאיסרו-חג שבועות קיבלתי לפני שבוע, כנראה אחרי גלגולים רבים בדואר. הרעיון לתרגם לצרפתית ספרי "סוגה בשושנים" מוצא חן בעיני והנני סומך ידי על המפעל בלב מלא, רק בתנאי אחד אני מתנה. שיקבלו הסכמתי למפרע אנוש בדעתך של המתרגמים להוסיף או להשמיט חלקים חשובים. הכומת בידם להכניס שנויים קלים, שאין בהם השנוי – תוכן – בכדי להתאים את הספר לקהל הקוראים הצרפתי.
