Letter from Joel Schreiber about R. Lamm's Appointment to YU Presidency (1976)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: May I extend to you my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes upon your assuming the presidency of Yeshiva University. I was truly thrilled when I heard the news, for I believe that this can be the beginning of a new and even more productive era for our alma mater. Needless to say, I feel in my heart that Yeshiva University has made the wisest of choices. I hope and pray that you will be granted the wisdom, strength, and good health to achieve all of those goals that you seek. If I may be of some small assistance in any way, don’t hesitate to call upon me. May the new year, which is almost upon us, bring to you and your dear family good health and an abundance of happiness. With kindest personal regards. Sincerely, JMS
