Letter to Dr. Reich about Contacts for Assistance on Project (1972)
Dear Rabbi Reich: I can very well appreciate how enthusiastic you are about your project. As I told you, I fully concur in its importance. However, despite all your urgings, which I deeply respect, I simply find it impossible for me to make any commitment at the present. There are a number of people who you may want to contact in Jerusalem, but I must insist that my name must not be used. I am recommending them to you rather as sympathetic people who might be interested in the project. I do not have the addresses of all of them, but I am sure you will be able to locate them. They are: Moshe Green, Keren Hayesod, B’nai B’rith Building. 2. Aaron Green – Metudela. 3. Baruch Hurwich – a physician at Shaare Zedek hospital. These are all members or former members of my congregation. I believe the best time to make these contacts is before the summer for the 3rd, and during the summer for the first two. Please accept my warmest good wishes for success in your project. Rabbi Norman Lamm
