Letter from Joel Paul about R. Lamm's Appointment to YU Presidency (1976)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: As a former student of yours and having served on the staff of Yeshiva University for a number of years, I was delighted to learn that you have accepted the presidency of Yeshiva University. Residing outside the New York area, I am very cognizant of the many challenges besetting Orthodoxy in America and know the important role that Yeshiva University can play on the American scene. Your appointment, in my opinion, bodes well not only for Yeshiva University but for all of Jewry. Permit me to wish you hatzlacha in your new post. Warmest personal regards, Sincerely, Joel H.
