Exchange with A. Leo Levin about Editing Dr. Belkin Festschrift (1969)
Dear Norm, I am delighted that you have accepted the editorship of the projected Festschrift in honor of Dr. Belkin. The good news reached me yesterday morning from Leonard Rosenfeld and I hasten to let you know how pleased I am. I hesitate to include in this letter a matter of a very different character, but these have been days of uneven tenor, including both deep sadness but also some very happy things. Permit me, then, to tell you here how very much all of us appreciated your warm words following the passing of my father Ztz'l. They brought comfort and I am grateful.Warm personal regards and best wishes for חג כשר ושמחSincerely,A. Leo LevinALL:djb

Letter to A. Leo Levin about Declining Offer of Bar-Ilan Presidency (1973)
Dear Leo: You deserve to be amongst the first to know my response to the people of Ramat Gan. Regretfully it is negative. However, you have been of the greatest assistance to me and I want you to know how much I value your friendship and how grateful I am to you for your counsel. All my warmest greetings. Very cordially, Rabbi Norman Lamm
