Exchange with Mrs. Alfred Jacoby about Inability to Attend Hadassah Dinner and Benediction Policy (1967)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: On December 3, 1967, the New York Chapter of Hadassah will hold its Annual Dinner-Dance in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria. The proceeds will be used for Hadassah's vital medical, scientific research, and Youth Aliyah work in Israel. As Chairman of this function, it is my pleasure to invite you, on behalf of the New York Chapter, to participate in the opening ceremony of the Dinner. It would be a privilege indeed for us if you would deliver the Invocation and therewith set the spiritual tone of this gathering of supporters of Hadassah and Israel. We sincerely hope that, crowded though your schedule is, you will accept this invitation. We await what we hope will be a favorable reply. With warm Hadassah regards and best wishes for L'Shanah Tovah Tiketevu, I amSincerely^Mrs. Alfred A. JacobyDinner ChairmanEJ/rgJ
