Letter to Morris Jacobs Thanking Him for His Donation Toward Therapy for a Young Man (1968)
Dear Mr. Jacobs: Many, many thanks for your contribution of $75.00 to The Jewish Center Charity Foundation, Inc. You may be sure that the money will be used most constructively for the case I described to you over the telephone. You are contributing quite literally to the saving of a life and the salvaging of what I hope will be a brilliant career of a young man beset by many troubles. Some day his achievements will redound to your credit for the kind assistance you have extended to him anonymously at the present time. It was a pleasure getting to know you and Mrs. Jacobs at the New Brunswick Hotel in Lakewood. Since we are neighbors, I do look forward to meeting you again and getting to know you better. Please convey my fondest regards to Mrs. Jacobs, and please accept my very best wishes for a happy Passover. Cordially yours,RABBI NORMAN LAMM
