Exchange with R. Grossman about Visiting R. Lamm's Talmud Class (1969)
Dear Joel: It was a pleasure to see you Sunday night at the lecture and I am deeply grateful to you for your immediate affirmative response when I asked you if you would take my Tuesday morning Talmud class once again. As I told you last time, the reactions of the students were highly complimentary. I expect to be away in Galveston on March 11, and it is that morning for which I will need your assistance. Since I will not be teaching the week before, because it is Purim, I hope to notify you after February 25th as to where I am up to in the text. As you know, services begin at 7:15 A.M. and the class goes from 8 A.M. to 8:45, followed by breakfast, for which you will not be charged this time… Once again, my warmest thanks. Cordially yours, Rabbi Norman Lamm
