Exchange with Judge Goldstein about R. Lamm's Appointment to YU Presidency and Childhood Memories (1976)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: It is, indeed, gratifying to learn that Williamsburg reaches the top rung of the ladder again. Although we have not personally met, I knew your parents quite well. Many years ago I was privileged to serve both as the Assemblyman of that district and as President of Congregation Adas Yeshurin, where your father was a distinguished and respected congregant. I have followed your brilliant career over these many years and I am confident that you will bring Yeshiva University to phenomenal heights. Some day I hope we may meet personally. Mazel Tov and may the Almighty grant you and yours many years of good health. Sincerely yours, Aaron F. Goldstein
