Letter from Charles Evans about New York Times Financial Section Article on Him (1966)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: I cannot tell you how much I appreciated your letter to me of January 3rd with reference to the article which appeared about me in the New York Times of December 31st. I sometimes wonder how a man like yourself with so many interests, finds time to peruse the financial sections of the New York dailys. I do think it was very thoughtful of you to take the time to write me. I have had very good fortune in the years ensuing our last meeting. I am the proud father of a son now 3-1/2 years and also two daughters, one who is 2 years and our youngest, seven months. This, to me, is the greatest fulfillment of my life's ambition and it has given both Frances and myself much joy and satisfaction.Sometime this spring, when I get back from Florida where I am on vacation, I would like to call you and arrange a visit with you. The problem is starting to arise as to how to manage my son's religious education, and I would be very happy to accept some counsel from you on this matter. My best personal regards to the Propp family if you see them.Sincerely yours,Charles Evans6020 North Bay RoadMiami Beach, Florida
