Exchange with Malkie Altman about Gratitude for R. Lamm's Advice (2010)

Dear Rabbi Dr. Lamm, There comes a time in one’s life in which we reflect from where we came, how we got there, and where we are. In all these respects, as I take a careful look at my life, it is to you whom I owe my thanks. Why do I wax nostalgic at this time? I don’t mean to shock you, but, in reality, I am attending my 50th (!) High School reunion this week for what was then called “Central Yeshiva University High School for Girls, (Brooklyn)!! I extend these thanks with sincerest hopes that they are but a droplet in the ocean of thanks you have earned throughout your career. It is your due to bask in these accolades for your superb leadership, from the time of your youth in Springfield, and continuing into a long, happy, and healthy future. Please extend my warmest regards to Mrs. Lamm, and my very deep hopes for your good health, and a very satisf…
