Letter to R. Spiro about the Lewis Family Marriage (1970)
Dear Shubert, my regular secretary is on vacation and I therefore find it impossible to locate Sally Lewis. I know that she and her son Aaron attend your synagogue, and I would be most grateful if you could do me the favor of offering them my warmest congratulations on his forthcoming marriage. I do not know the young lady, but from the nature of the invitation I received – with its full Hebrew, traditional text – I can well imagine that Aaron has fulfilled his mother’s most cherished prayers and fondest hopes. I am genuinely pleased for both of them, and I would be grateful if you would kindly convey to them my warmest good wishes.Fondest regards to your wife,Cordially yours,RABBI NORMAN LAMMRNL\:ps
