Get Well Letter to George (1964)
Dear George: I have just learned that you have again been in the hospital, this time in the Pratt Institute in Boston. I also understand, however, that with the help of God you are beginning to recover and should be home for Passover. George, you always struck me as a sensible fellow, and I therefore do not understand what foolishness got into you in recent years. I hope you and Gert and the girls will finally come around to seeing the light by staying healthy and happy and joyous for many many years to come.Keep your spirits up, George, and remember that a long siege of illness is frequently like travelling through a dark tunnel—scary and sometimes decreasing; but you know that there is an opening on the other end that you will reach before long, and that when you do, you will be bathed in sunshine and warmth.May God help that you reach that goal of full health before long, and that this Yom Tov be the beginning of good health and happiness and good cheer for all the family.Mindy, of course, sends her very best and joins me in these sentiments.Cordially yours,RABBI NORMAN LAMMNL\:ff
