Letter to R. Shure about Lack of Interest in Project Among Congregation (1967)
Dear Rabbi Shure: Thank you very much for your proposal, so carefully prepared and so convincingly written. I used this material in broaching your proposal to a friend of mine who I had hoped would lend his support. Quite unfortunately, and to my great regret, he expressed absolutely no interest in the project. He was the only one in my congregation who I thought might be interested. Apparently I was unsuccessful, and I am terribly sorry, therefore, to have to return the material to you enclosed. I am sure there must be people elsewhere who will participate in this wonderful work.My very best regards and warmest wishes for success.Sincerely yours,Rabbi Norman LammRNL/fz enc.
