Exchange with Dr. Sherman about Geneva Symposium Proceedings Manuscript (1975)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: I met this morning with Dr. Isaac Lewin, of Agudat Israel, who asked whether he might have a copy of the talk you gave at our symposium last month in Geneva. May I send him a copy of the manuscript you sent us, or would you prefer to deal with Dr. Lewin's request directly? May I take this opportunity to wish you and Mrs. Lamm a very happy and healthy New Year. Your sincerely, J. Sherman, Executive Director

Exchange with Dr. Sherman about Appraisal of Hilchot Niddah Book (1976)
Dear Rabbi Lamm: This year the Memorial Foundation has received a very large number of institutional applications for support of research and publication in Jewish subjects. To assist us in making appropriate choices within our perforce limited budget, we should greatly appreciate your frank assessment of the above request, copy of which is enclosed. Your evaluation and comments will of course be treated with complete confidentiality. I look forward to hearing from you in due course, and send you meanwhile thanks and best wishes.Executive DirectorAJS\:dw---ק-לטלר זצ״לBeth Medrash Govoha / Rabbi Aaron Kotler Institute for Advanced Learning617 Sixth Street / Lakewood, New Jersey 08701November 27, 1974APPLICATION FOR SUPPORT OF RESEARCHTITLE OF PROJECT: Halachos of NiddahDESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:To prepare a comprehensive text for study and reference of Hilchos Niddah. This work is to be written in English with additional comments in Hebrew. The material will be based on the Gemara, Rishonim, Shulchan Aruch and Responsa, to its modern application. The need for such a work is readily apparent due to the lack of clear, organized, and accessible halachic resources for the observant Jewish public, particularly as a continuous source and reference work for the married couple. Therefore, special effort will be made to maintain clear and simple language in the English text, so as to ensure emphasis on comprehension of the halachos and concepts introduced. Each Hebrew term will be defined, and copious footnotes and cross-references will be supplied for further research. To further assure clarity and refinement, the initial draft will be reviewed and finalized into the publication form.PROJECT DIRECTOR: Rabbi Shimon D. EiderRabbi Eider is the author of **Halachos of Eruv** (published in 1968), **A Summary of Halachos of Shabbos** (published November 8, 1974), and **The Eruv** (published in 1973), three volumes already published with the support of the Foundation.Additional biograph…
