Dear Moe, Two things: First, I want to let you know how much I admired the capable and efficient manner in which you disposed of the tributes to the eighteen "Amudim" at the Torah Umesorah Banquet Sunday night. It could not have been done in a quicker or more charming manner, and the total effect was most impressive and encouraging. "Ye’yashar koach." Second, I have been trying to reach you for two weeks to discuss with you the matter of Paul Baris and the Publications Commission. Please let me know what is new on this score. Letter to Moses Feuerstein Suggesting Diplomatic Response to a "Religious Crank" (1962)

Dear Moe (Rabbi Feurstein): Your question as to whether the correspondent of the enclosed material is Jewish can be adequately answered by the printed paragraph on the bottom of his letter. I certainly do not think you ought to give him any letter. He sounds like a religious crank, and if you want to get involved I can suggest more thrilling ways. Perhaps the most diplomatic way would be to notify him that you are only a layman and therefore hesitate to write prayers or otherwise engage in ecclesiastical activity.Thank you for remembering my recommendations concerning Paul Baris.
