שלום הרב ברכה, הנני מתכבד להודיעו בזה שלאחר חג הפסח הבעל"ט אבוא לארה"ב בשליחות ישיבתנו הקדושה, זוהי נסיעתי הראשונה להתם והנני תולה תקותי בידידי הישיבה ומוקירי שמה שיעשו כל אשר לאל ידם להצלחת הביקור ותוצאותיו. מתוך שיחותי עם כב' בעת פקדו את ארצנו הקדושה, ברי לי שכבודו מכיר ויודע את טיב ישיבתנו וערכיה ואת מהלך מחשבותי בענייני החינוך של נוער זמננו, ואם אוכל להביא בעת ביקורי תועלת כלשהי בענין זה אראה לי זאת לזכות גדולה. רעייתי ואני דורשים בשלום הרבנית וכב"ב, ואסיים בברכת חג כשר ושמח, ידידו מוקירו, הרב חיים יעקב גולדוויכט ראש הישיבה.

I am about to leave for Israel shortly for a long study leave prior to taking up office as Chief Rabbi, and I hope to have the opportunity to study it intensively then.
