Letter to Irving Bunim about His "Ethics from Sinai" and Invitation to Speak at The Jewish Center (1963)

Dear Mr. Bunim: I just received a copy of your "Ethics from Sinai" published by Feldheim. I must admit that I had a “sneak preview" when Mr. Feldheim showed me several gallies a week or so ago. Of course, it measures up to my full expectations. It has the full Bunim verve, charm, and insight and, in addition, it is written in an excellent English style. I know it will have a tremendous impact on the public and allow your commentaries to reach an ever wider circle of our fellow Jews. Since your moving into our area, I had wanted to invite you to address The Jewish Center at a Seudah on some appropriate Shabbat. We would, all of us, be delighted to have you as our guest speaker on Saturday January 11th or January 18th (on the latter date, the Seudah is being given in memory of the late William Fischman; if you knew him personally, then that Shabbat will be the more appropriate one for you.) The talk should last about ten or twenty minutes, and the subject may be one of your own choosing. Would you be kind enough to let me know that we may have the honor of your presence? Please let me know which date you prefer and, if possible, also a tentative title that we may announce from the pulpit in advance.
