Letter of Recommendation to Dr. Benjamin Brickman for Ramaz Teaching Application (1963)

My Dear Dr. Brickman: I have just learned that you have interviewed [redacted] for a teaching position in Ramaz. I know [redacted], and have had some contact with him the last few years. His reputation as a teacher precedes him, and from my personal contact with him I know him to be a man of integrity and honor. He has taught in Manhattan Day School, and I believe in Boston. [redacted] is a real scholar, and I think he will find his niche in Ramaz, and that, especially under your expert guidance, he will be a valuable asset to the Ramaz faculty. These remarks are, of course, unsolicited, nevertheless I hope you will take them in the spirit in which they are given. I look forward to meeting with you a bit more elaborately than the casual encounters we have had in the past several years while entering or leaving C.K.J. She is a personable, intelligent young lady with genuine conviction and a love of Torah.
