Rabbi Lamm explored the intersection of Jewish and American law in his 1967 article, “The Fourth Amendment and Its Equivalent in the Halachah,” later republished as “Privacy in Law and Theology.” He also submitted written testimony to the U.S. Supreme Court, invoking halachic principles to support constitutional protections of individual dignity and privacy.
