Greetings from the heart of the beautiful English (!!) countryside. Sorting things out – tomorrow back to London to make preps for the big day. The challenges + problems here in this unique institution require much determination to solve השקפות התורה, yet no doubt the good Lord of Israel will note entirely neglect those who at least attempt to bring to fruition a genuine דירה בתחתונים!

Dear Rabbi Lamm, Just a note before I am off. I recently received doubles of the enclosed from my American friends, taken at the WUJS Philadelphia Encounter in Elul. I would like you to have one set. Excuse my lack of humility in sending you the two simple portraits of my ecstatic singing, passive playing!! I hope E.Y. and Kfar Chabad will prove an inspiration and that my overall impression will be a positive one; anticipate all the העלם והסתר etc. to be transformed – נכון?

Dear Rabbi Lamm, I trust you and your family had an inspiring Yom Tov. The vabreng here on the 2nd day, when the Rebbe both spoke and sang and called upon the Russians present to sing and dance, will remain an indelible impression of what תורה תפילה וגעגועים is all about, truly a most memorable religious experience – unique and so richly profound. To quote Wordsworth: “And I have felt a presence that disturbs me with the joy of elevated thoughts, a sense sublime of something far more deeply interfused...”
