Dear Norman: I tried to reach you by phone but was told that you were out for the day. I am now in the middle of my military duty in Ft. Dix. I just returned for a day to clean up some office and personal matters, and must report back as soon as possible. The thrilling information about your election to the Presidency of Y.U. was on my desk. In behalf of myself and all our fellow alumni it is a privilege to extend to you our congratulations and best wishes. May the Almighty bless your tenure of office and all your endeavors with His inspiration and wisdom so that all your sacred endeavors in behalf of our alma mater may be fruitful and successful. Under your very able and inspirational leadership I am certain that we shall go mechayil el chayil. It goes without saying, of course, that the Alumni Office and I are ready at all times to assist you in any way that we possibly can. Once again, heartiest congratulations and mazel tov.
