Wouk told me that Haskel Lookstein was working on it, and I believe he wrote to you on March 21 asking whether any progress had been made on it. Dear Rabbi Lamm, I am very happy that our paths crossed at the Israeli Dance Festival yesterday. I had written to ask your permission to include “The Dayenu Address” in the Model Seder I compiled. I am glad that I had the opportunity to thank you in person for all that I have learned from your writings. To have been able to do this was important because it was an expression of עקרת הטוב to a person I respect and admire. I am enclosing the Seder Program and hope you like what you read. It was distributed by the Philadelphia office of Bnai Brith to all the lodges in the Eastern Pennsylvania–Delaware State Region. Thank you for letting me use the “Dayenu” selection. Dear Norman: I just returned from a visit to Israel and your name came up in so many conversations – wherever there was a need to think in terms of a creative force in Jewish life. Our good friend, Mr. Werdiger, told me of a discussion he had with you in which he indicated the importance of providing for orthodox, Russian-oriented Jews in the way of a weekly publication. Many political groups are reaching out for this in a community and there are simply not enough funds available to compete for their attention and interest.
