Dear Is: Please forgive me for not answering your letter any sooner. This has been an exceedingly busy winter for me. Amongst other things, I was in Geneva for a while, then in Israel for ten days, then in the hospital for a while (nothing serious), etc. You know already that unfortunately I was unable to see Aaron in Israel, but Mindy and I did speak to him and Gerry. The Glucks visited us last night and they praised you very much. He told us that you have not yet returned from Miami and that is why I am writing to you there. We were told it was quite a cold winter, but I hope the rest of your stay will be pleasant enough.Do give our warm regards to Helen and to Joe, and when you return, if you have a chance, just call to say hello.Cordially,Rabbi Norman LammNL:cw

Letter to R. Saul Berman about Nursing Home Scandal (1975)

Dear Saul: Apparently my trip to Israel, and the accumulated correspondence, plus two unavoidable out-of-town lecture engagements since, have caused a massive mix-up in my correspondence. I just today read the summary of your February 11th meeting, and the invitation to the February 20th meeting. You may rest assured that I would have made every effort to attend had I been aware of the meeting in advance. Meanwhile, please be kind enough to keep me informed. I also wonder whether you received my recent letter, copies of which were mailed to Steve Riskin and Moe Feuerstein, concerning the nursing home scandal. I think it is urgent that we be prepared to move in with it at the appropriate time. In order to do so, without delay, as much advance preparation as possible is important. All best wishes.
