Invitation to Panim-el-Panim Ceremony Honoring Dr. Belkin (1961)

Dear Friend, It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the date has been set for the convocation marking the "Panin El Panim" Anniversary. The Convocation will take place, P. G. Sunday, December 10, 1961 at the Israel Consulate in New York. It will be a most memorable event dedicated to the religious-cultural bridge between the two Jewries of Israel and America. The Convocation, which will be filmed and televised, will honor the newly formed American Board of Governors of the Jewish Orientation Fellowship, publishers of "Panim El Panim," headed by Mr. Max Stern who has been selected as the "Man of the Year." At the same time, the Harav Kook Awards will be presented in the areas of Communal life, (Model Community, Elizabeth, N. J.), Education, (Bar-Ilan University), Literature, (Dr. Samuel Belkin), Art (Jan Peerce), and Science (Dr. Maurice S. Sage).

A personal letter of invitation to you from the Consul General of Israel will be forthcoming soon. I am sure you will want to participate in this most significant event. Will you please reserve the date; December 10, 1961 at 3 P.M.
