Dear Rabbi Felder: I would like to turn to you for your opinion on a question that falls directly within your field of competence. The enclosed is a copy of a letter which I received from a young man who has turned Orthodox (from Reconstructionism!) within the last several months. Letter from Rabbi about Visiting Camp Morasha (1968)

Dear Rabbi Lamm, I want to take this late opportunity of thanking you for your many kindnesses to [redacted] me when we visited with you and Mrs. Lamm late last week. We were most impressed with the camp and the people there and are grateful for our reception at Morasha. The visit gave us a brief respite from the turmoil that is the daily routine and permitted us a chance of becoming ourselves again, if only briefly. Your name came up over lunch with Rabbi Besdin today as we discussed your article on unity. It was this discussion that prodded my conscience, reminding me that I owe you at least a note of thanks, and much more. I hope that it will not be long before we can get together and talk, as I took much away with me from our conversations. Please thank Mrs. Lamm for me for her many kindnesses. She should have received [redacted] not by now but I add to that note. Looking forward to seeing you before long, and thanking you for your kindnesses, I remain Cordially,
