Dear Rabbi Lamm: Many evenings are passed in the vacuum of vapidity, and so when one finds an evening filled with so much human material (which you so aptly presented Monday evening), one can count the evening well spent; no, not well spent, but time enriched in the continued weaving of the mosaic pattern of our peoples. Your talent as a speaker does not need an accolade from us, rarely have we heard a speaker encompass as much as you did in the short time allotted to you, so much information garnered about a legendary fragment of our peoples.This letter is being written because of the impact your revelations had upon us. Your compassion, sensitivity, and insight to the needs of these people will, we are sure, give them hope for their future, in the sea of indifference which until now seemed to engulf them.Miss Mae and I do not know what plans you have to help this group.
